Tool Crib Station uses AutoCrib Software (web-based AutoCrib.net or client/server software). The software features an Intelligent Dashboard with key metrics visible at a glance on one screen. Over 200 reports are pre-loaded.
How It works — tool room automation
- Select the desired function on the touch screen or keypad (Issue, Return, Locate, etc.).
- To issue an item from the tool crib, enter an employee number and pin number. The user can also be prompted to enter cost center data, such as department or job number, if applicable.
- Select the item desired. The User can enter the part number or name of the item desired, and then select the item from a list. A photo can also be viewed to confirm the correct item has been selected.
- The user selects the quantity desired. At this point, the crib door can be unlocked by the system. A receipt with bin numbers is printed to assist in locating the items.
- To return an item, enter an employee number and pin number. A list of items to be returned by that employee appears. Select the item to be returned.
- All transactions are recorded in the AutoCrib database in real-time
