Stephen Pixley
CEO and President
Stephen Pixley pioneered industrial vending machines in his garage in the early nineties – and launched the Industrial Vending category of solutions to reduce costs and improve productivity.
He has continued to lead the industry into the future as a prolific developer of innovative industrial vending solutions, creating the industry's most popular dispensing technologies. Pixley is regarded as the foremost industry expert in the area of "point-of-use dispensing" as well as in automating the industrial distribution supply chain.
He assumed the Presidency of AutoCrib in 1999, to focus full-time on the Industrial Vending category of solutions that he had created. Prior to 1999, AutoCrib had been a division of Machine Tools Supply (MTS), a company Pixley built from a start-up to the largest privately-held industrial tool distributor and integrator in Southern California.
Pixley co-founded MTS in 1987, and as President, acquired extensive experience in managing, automating and controlling industrial distribution companies. During his tenure, Pixley has been involved in hundreds of successful AutoCrib implementations with many of the world's largest companies.
Previous to MTS, Pixley held a number of positions with NCR Corporation. He initially trained as a programmer, and subsequently spent a number of years as an inventory control specialist and worked on some of the first industrial robots.
He is a graduate of Management Action Programs (MAP), and a 2008 recipient of MAP's Presidential Achievement Award, recognizing AutoCrib's exceptional growth and profitability. He holds a master’s degree in computer science, and a bachelor's degree in business administration.
